The Fall 2017 Computer Science career fair will be held on Wednesday, September 13th at the Student Center South (UC) Houston Room (2nd floor, room 220), on UH Main Campus. The event runs from 10:00am until 2:00pm. We encourage all students, whether you’re a starting freshman or a graduating senior to attend. This is a fantastic opportunity for all CS majors looking for internships, part-time or full-time CS positions.
Registration will happen on-site this year. It will be much faster and more efficient. Upon entering the venue, you will be asked to provide your PSID to our front desk. They will print a custom label for you with all of your details (i.e. name, email, major, classification).
Dress Code Policy
Business professional. Entry will be denied upon failure to comply with the dress code.
UH CS and CougarCS require dressing business professional. We adhere to the dress code policy outlined by UH Career Services. Students who fail to follow the dress code policy may be prohibited from entering the career fair until they are in compliance. Take a look at the infographic to the left for reference. A list of resources are available if you are in need of professional dress assistance.
Be sure to bring several copies of your professional résumé.
No backpacks will be permitted into the career fair. You will be able to store your bag in a separate room during check-in. The bag room will be monitored by a student volunteer.
Current employers attending (updated 10 Sept 2017)
We are looking for members to sign up for at least one shift out of the four volunteer shifts available. You may sign up for additional slots, which would be greatly appreciated! This is a great opportunity — especially for those who have never attended a career fair — to see what a career fair is all about and also to become more involved with CougarCS. Furthermore, lunch will be provided to all volunteers and you will have the opportunity to have lunch with recruiters, which is a great way to expand your network. To sign up, please fill out this poll with your availability. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out.
